I will start out by sending my UDC app…and a great picture, which has
“James Henry Marshall and Elender Pegram Marshall”
“Civil War Veteran”, written in my mother’s hand on the reverse.
I have copies of his military service and POW status from Fold3 also.

Notes |
- Marshall 0033, Pg. 5 & 6; Marshall 0127, p. 13 - She is listed different ways in different official records. Her marriage license has Elendar, the census of 1850 lists her as Ursula, and the census of 1870 lists her as Celia.
Marshall 0159, p. 1 - Her grand daughter says that her name was Elenor.
