    One source document said that he was born in 1910 and was married in 1910. Obviously that cannot be true. I believe it is more reasonable to think that he was born sometime before 1890.

    Note: The next note is a source document that clears that up.

    Sherrill married Frances Willard MARSHALL about 1910. Frances (daughter of Murlin Lafayette MARSHALL and Ellen MINTHORN) was born in Aug 1888 in Iowa. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

The enlistment form also gave her last name as Mackey. The spelling of her name also comes from that form.
