I just started on researching our family tree. I have 600 names entered so
far in the program Family Tree Maker. I obtained most of my information
from my uncle, Norman Nale.

On my grandfather's side of the family, I have information on the Nale
family back to Germany around 1720 and the Denny family back to 1786. (I
found further information on our Denny family on the internet back to
Ireland around 1763. I understand that information found on the internet is
a starting point for finding the actual records.)

On my grandmother's side, Marshall's you know and the Overton family back to
1797. (I found our Overton family back to England about 1547 in the LDS
Ancestral File.)

I don't know how to send gedcoms or data bases or whatever people send.

The easiest way for me is to cut and paste and send my notes.

I have a question, where did the death date (Feb. 1862) of Joseph M. Marshall ( born 1810) come from? I received info yesterday that states he died 10-28-1861. I went to a list of burials in Jefferson Barracks and there is a J.M. Marshall buried there with the same death date. I will be glad to email you a copy of the info if you are interested. I agree with you!! It is our history and part of who we are. I recently discovered that my gg grandfather Peter Sydney Marshall was wounded at the Battle of Perrysville, KY. and lay on the ground for 3 days and 2 nights before he was found and received help. Peter promised his Uncle Daniel Zink(Mother's brother) that he would take care of his wife and children if something happened to Daniel in the war. Daniel was killed. So Peter did what he had promised, he married Mary and took care of her and the children. Peter not only raised those children but he and Mary had 7 of their own. I don't have to be related to someone famous, I have my own heros!! Joyce

On my grandfather's side of the family, I have information on the Nale
family back to Germany around 1720 and the Denny family back to 1786. (I
found further information on our Denny family on the internet back to
Ireland around 1763. I understand that information found on the internet is
a starting point for finding the actual records.)

On my grandmother's side, Marshall's you know and the Overton family back to
1797. (I found our Overton family back to England about 1547 in the LDS
Ancestral File.)

I don't know how to send gedcoms or data bases or whatever people send.

My brother Carroll forwarded me your information on Lillie Edwina Marshall - I have reviewed it - it really fills in some blank information that I have been trying to authenticate. Some corrections to your information that I can confirm are true are:

Lela Grace Colglazier died on April 14, 1947 - I confirmed this information with my mother (Lela's daughter) - she also died in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She is buried in Cemetery Hill on the Clemson University campus with a commemorative plague from the Pickens chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR)

Also, my mother's birthday Elizabeth Stark Marshall is October 12, 1915, not September 12, 1915.

John Logan Marshall is buried in Doctor's Inlet, Florida - a memorial stone is in Cemetery Hill at Clemson University.

I have not confirmed, but my records show Lois Attaway dying in 1991 instead of 1996.
Marshall Elizabeth Hass' birthday is July 27 instead of July 17.

Jane Watson Hass is married to Thomas Herbert Philbrick instead of Toni Philbrick.

You show Della Jo Marshall (younger) as being married in 1950 - that is her birthday year- don't know the exact date.
