Graham's wife, Edith, called me on June 3, 2002 to tell me about his death. He fell and broke his leg Friday night. He went through surgery, but did not recover well. He continued to decline until Sunday morning at 9:00 when he died. He is buried in Midkiff cemetery. I attended the funeral. (David W. Marshall, Sr.)

Thanks so much for all the prayers so far. Please continue to pray for my family. Rosalie went to her heavenly home early this morning. She is no longer sick and suffering. She is now with her precious family in heaven.

Please pray for my Daddy's family from Mt Airy as my cousin is ready for her heavenly home. This has been a very hard time for all the family. May God Bless the Family during this time and help ease the pain in everyone's heart.

Charles Crabtree called me this afternoon and told me that Robert passed away this afternoon. He had numerous health problems and even had problems with his medications. His body was just worn out. (4/30/2015 - David W. Marshall, Sr)

Mr. Robert Graham Wray, Jr., age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at his home. Mr. Wray was born in Surry County on December 6, 1942 to Edith Poff Wray and the late Robert Graham Wray, Sr. He was retired from Insteel Corporation and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Surviving is his devoted mother, Edith Poff Wray; daughters, Robin Smith and Melissa Lawson a son, Bobby Wray; grandchildren, six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Rosalie McMillian, Rhonda Humphries and Reva Arnder and a very special cousin, May Vipperman. In addition to his father, Mr. Wray was preceded in death by sister Renee Combs and an infant sister. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, May 3, 2015 at Westside Baptist Church by Rev. Steve Johnson, Rev. Tommy Nichols and Rev. Darrell Hall. Burial will follow in Midkiff Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Flowers are acceptable or memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church at 167 Spring Creek Trail, Mount Airy, NC 27030.

MOUNT AIRY - Ms. Renee Wray Combs, 60, of 937 Sparger Road, Suite 2, Mount
Airy, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, July 31, 2006.

Ms. Combs was born April 10, 1946, in Surry County to Edith Marie Poff Wray and the late Robert Graham Wray Sr. She was employed at Wal-Mart as a cake decorator and was a member of Westside Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald Gray Combs Jr. and Jill Combs of Claudville, Va., and Benny Ray and Frances Combs of Mount Airy; five grandchildren, Mark Combs of Westfield, Miranda Combs of Claudville and Jessica Combs, Casey Combs and Hailey Combs, all of Mount Airy; a greatgranddaughter, Madilyn Grace Combs of Mount Airy; her mother, Edith Marie Poff Wray of Mount Airy; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Rosalie McMillian of Bassett, Va., Rhonda and Jerry Humphries of Mount Airy and Reva Elbertson of Ocala, Fla.; a brother, Robert Graham Wray Jr. of Mount Airy; and a special friend, Kristie Bledsoe of Mount Airy. In addition to her father, Ms. Combs was preceded in death by a son, Randy Gregg Combs; a grandson, Bradley Kyle Combs; and a sister, Evelyn Ramona Wray.

The funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Steve Johnson and the Rev. Jack Anderson, and burial will follow in the Westside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Westside Baptist Church, and other times at the home of Edith Marie Poff Wray, 152 Critz St., Mount Airy.

Donna Marie McMillan Bouldin, 61, of Spencer, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, N.C. She was born on July 10, 1957 in Mt. Airy, N.C. to Edith Rosalie Wray McMillan and the late Elbert Chester McMillan Jr. "Hank". She was a member of Horsepasture Ruritan Club and Living Waters Church. She worked most of her life for the family business of McMillan Family Restaurant.

Donna is survived by her husband, Akers Bouldin; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Gibbs (Joe); sisters, Elaine Graham (Sid) and Becky Sampson (Allan); special grandson, Paul Giles Jr. "PJ"; four aunts; fourteen nieces; and nephews; and eighteen great-nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel with a funeral service to be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 with Pastor Bud Sedwick officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Blackberry Baptist Church Cemetery.
