Walter's wife was Millie Anne Rumley Marshall, daughter of Eziekel Rumley. They had 7 children in the following order: Ivey was oldest, McTroy born Oct 21, 1921 and paternal twin McCoy, Lucille the only girl, followed by Keary, W. J., and Normie. Will get birth & death dates for some tomorrow. My 2 sisters live in Orlando & Tallahassee FL. and my niece Cassie, and her husband recently finished medical school and are practicing in Columbia, SC. I am copying Cassie's mom Wanda to let her know that you may be one of her relatives. What is your line to James & Sarah Marshall? Would you like a pdf of their grave stone and farm?

Hello David. My name is Jerry Marshall, son of Troy (McTroy)Marshall who was son of Walter Edward Marshall, who was son of James A. and Sarah Pergusson Marshall. James A. was a Mason and buried at New Hope Church on Gideon Grove Church road in Rockingham county NC. I was by his grave earlier today with a Thomas relative who lives in Alexandria VA. James A Marshall's farm was just east of the church. Nice job on the genealogy.

Mr. Jerry Wayne Marshall, 70, passed away on Monday, January 17th, 2022 at his home in Stokesdale.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life see RSVP below.
Jerry was born in Guilford County on November 17, 1951 the son of the late Troy Marshall and Audrey Southard Marshall. He was a graduate of NW Guilford High School, Class of ?70 and went on to receive his MBA from Wake Forest University. Jerry was associated with RJ Reynolds for 45 years; initially working seasonally and then worked as a master scientist in their Research and Development Department. He was also a member of Stokesdale Lodge # 428 A.F. & A.M. and the Scottish Rite. On November 6, 1976 he married Janet Furniss-Roe.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years Janet Marshall of the home; daughter Tracey Marshall-Becker and her husband, Adam, of Greensboro; sisters Sylvia Marshall-Nolt (Glenn) of Lake Mary, FL and Wanda Peterson of Tallahassee, FL; 3 grandchildren Haven Becker, Riley Becker, and Brooke Becker.
In lieu of flowers, the family would be delighted if memorial donations were made to The American Cancer Society, 7027 Albert Pick Road, Suite 104, Greensboro, NC 27409 or the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 27565 or the Guilford County Animal Shelter, 980 Guilford College Road, Greensboro, NC 27409.
