Henrietta's grandfather was Ruben Franklin Samuel, her father name was Jesse Henry Franklin Samuel, but he dropped the Jesse in his adulthood. Henry Franklin Samuel had one sister Elizabeth "Lizzie" Samuel whom married Hugh Lewis.
