of their son Charles and his wife Polly. They gave up custody in 1831 in Giles County, Tennessee to their son James R. Crenshaw, a younger brother of Thomas. In the 1840 censes of Kemper County, Mississippi, the four children were living in the house of Charles's and Elizabeth's son, William Henry (another brother of Thomas)
