!Journal of the Surry County Genealogical Association, Winter, 1998 - A quote from the Mount Airy News, May 25, 1904 - SAD DEATH OF A CHILD - We learn as we go to press that the little child of Mr. R. K. Marshll, so painfully injured last Wednesday, died this morning at 6 o'clock, aged 8 months. The grief stricken family, who were so sorely bereaved on account of the circumstances attending a death in the family several years ago, when one of the little ones choked to death while eating an apple, have the sincere sympathy of all in this dark hour. May the Lord help them bear their sorrow. Brief and appropriate services will be held at the residence tomorrow at 9:30 A. M. The funeral services will take place at the Friend's Church at White Plains at 10:30.
