He married June Marie Thompson. With June he had two children, Patricia Ann Nale born on May 12, 1950 in New Albany, Indiana and Stephen Michael Nale. Patricia married Kenneth Blaine Reynolds on April 10, 1971. Kenneth was born on January 22, 1951 in Danville, Illinois. June and Norman were divorced and Norman remarried Peggy Chastain. With Peggy, he had two more children, Jack Nale and Gary Nale.
