I am curious about the following posted information. Have you retained any
sources as to Effie Bledsoe's name? Although she was dead long before I was
born, she is my paternal grandmother. I have a handwritten page of genealogy
information from her daughter, Bertha Monterey 'Monte' Parrish in which she
has listed her mother's name as Effie Bulah Bledsoe; I also have a picture of
Effie which her son, (my father) sent me on which he wrote her name as 'Effie
Mae Bledsoe.' I have a hunch that when my Aunt Monte was sharing information
via the phone, when she said Bulah, it was misinterpreted as Gula. However,
I just thought I'd check with you on documentation. Her children are all
dead now and I can't ask them. I would appreciate your help if you have the
time to answer. Your web site is wonderful.
