to gets satisfaction from a business transaction about slaves he was involved
in with others. The document is in the "Miscellaneous Records, Surry County,
Subtitles: Slave Records, North Carolina Division of Archives and History,
Raleigh, N. C. In the suit he mentions his grandson, James Badgett, Eliza
Badgett, and Nancy Badgett.
