My wife, Sally Payton has a very interesting ancestry. Most of her ancestors came to the US
in the late 1600's. So there are many many lines to track.
James Madison(4th Pres) was her 2nd cousin 7x removed.(This was on her Payton side)
I also have a number of my ancestors in the Civil War
But, Sally had these two.
Heintzelman, Samuel Peter Gen. USA 3rd cousin 6x removed
Heintzelman, Charles Stuart Capt USA 4th cousin 5x removed
Charles's son was
Heintzelman, Stuart Gen.(1876-1935) 5th cousin 4x removed
A very interesting one was
