NOTES FROM FRANK E. COCKERHAM:
Nathaniel Barker made entry 4094 on 20 December 1830 for his 50 acres on the Maple Branch, and the surveyor's sketch showed a branch emptying into the Maple Branch on the east side, as described in Humphrey's entry in 1809. Amelia "Milley" Cockerham Barker was born after 1800, married 14 November 1929, was a widow by the 1840 census, and died before the November Court of 1840 when Moses Cockerham was named to administer her estate.
Nathaniel married Amelia COCKERHAM on 14 Nov 1829 in Wilkes County North Carolina. Amelia (daughter of Elder Humphrey COCKERHAM and JAMIMA) was born after 1800. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
