Here is a photo of my Great - Grandmother Annie Laurie Marion Smith with her older brother Cecil T Marion. This photo came out of an album my Great grandmother made a while ago. Cecil was born 1933 and my Great grandmother was born 1935 in Mount Airy Surry County to Posey Rains Marion and Nellie Scott. My Great Grandmother Annie Laurie Marion Married my Great Grandpa Andrew Davis Smith. I am assuming this photo was taken around the mid 40s. My Great Grandparents and Cecil are buried at Skyline Memorial Gardens in Mt Airy Surry County.

Annie married Andrew Davis SMITH on 30 May 1953. Andrew was born on 20 Jul 1932; died on 9 Feb 2015. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

!It would have nice if this person had thought to include the location of her grave. It is in a Primitive Baptist Church, probably in Surry County, North Carolina or close by.

Here is a photo of my GG grandmother Nellie Marion. She was born 1913 to Charlie William Scott and Lucinda Scott and she died 2009 at 95 years old! She married my GG grandfather Posey Rains Marion of Surry County and had two children and a infant son Herman Thomas Marion. This photo was taken in the late 1920s. She is buried at the Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Surry County NC.

He was listed as 22 and she as 19. Family Bible of Susie Phoebe Marion states that witnesses were Jeff Draughn, Armittie Johnson (her sister) and Bill Blue. Burial: Union Primitive Baptist Church cementery.

Susan (daughter of John JOHNSON and Rachel KIDD) was born on 1 Oct 1875 in Ash Hill, Surry County, North Carolina; died on 26 Jun 1948 in Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina; was buried in Mount Airy, Surry County, North Carolina. husband died. Was poor share cropper. She was crippled from an ankle injury
that went untreated. The foot drew up and she had to walk with a crutch.

1995, page 15. - This source shows a picture of the William C. Marion family
bible and has everything transcribed. Unfortunately, Franklin's first name is
not clear, but it looks like "Tiry." It is definitely "T?ry." The following
note (exactly as written) comes from the family bible:
"June the 3. 1864 - T F Marion went to the war as a calverman an serv to the
end of the war he sirv ten monts he was to have thirty one dollars on oath an
never got nary dollar".
